Thanks for stopping by! My name is Eric Paul, a writer and oil painter based in Los Angeles.

I treat my painting sessions as an opportunity for reflection and calmness. A chance to be more than present by truly seeing with intentionality.

Throughout life, I often found myself racing toward an end. The end of a project, the end of a workday, the end of a chapter. Why the rush?

The truth was, I was chasing a check in the box. As if productivity would lead me to purpose. Yet all along, I was missing joy in the process.

Then I picked up a paintbrush and lost all sense of time. I didn't feel rushed to the end, because the brushstokes themselves were enough. The process was enough.

Through my work¹, I hope to instill calmness into your home. I hope to give you a moment of pause. And I hope to evoke feelings of gratitude for the little gifts of life.

Let the future be unrevealed until its season². I wish you joy in the present.

¹ I use the word "work" loosely here, as painting feels far from it.
² I borrowed these wonderful words from the Hymn of Promise by Nancy Allen, a song I love and cherish.
